Our school is proud to be part of Mercia Learning Trust – a group of schools in Sheffield working together to provide the very best education for local children.
What is a multi-academy trust?
A multi-academy trust is a group of schools that work in partnership. All our schools are part of one charitable organisation – Mercia Learning Trust – which is directly accountable to the government rather than the local authority. This gives us greater freedom to do what works best for our schools and communities, while remaining publicly funded and held to the same high standards as all other schools.
Who are we?
Our trust includes primary and secondary schools. Each school is led by a headteacher, with support from our trust leadership team and a local governing body. Furthermore, each school has its own unique identity; however, we are united by a shared mission:
To empower everyone in our communities, especially the most disadvantaged, to succeed.
This mission drives everything we do, from the way we support and challenge our schools, to how we invest in staff and buildings.
What does this mean for you and your child?
We expect all our schools to align with our mission and values to ensure that every child receives an exceptional education.
To achieve this, we support each school individually and also share best practice, meaning your child benefits from the knowledge and expertise of a wide range of staff, not just the staff in one school.
